Amelia Douglass, PhD

Harvard Medical School
Amelia obtained her Ph.D. from the Max Planck Institute of Neurobiology in Munich where she studied how amygdala circuits control reward behavior. Currently, she is a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard Medical School with a research interest in the neurobiology of appetite regulation.

Amelia also has a keen interest in developmental biology, having completed her undergraduate research examining mechanisms of brain wiring during development.

Amelia realized from personal experience the need to better facilitate communication between scientists and the people who benefit from their research - the public. She has an interest in decoding and demystifying science for kids, adults and grandparents alike.

Helping neuroscientists reach excellence through effective communication.
